View Full Version : Driver Footbox inner wall bracket. Overkill?

I don't know why but I don't like that the inner footbox wall on the drivers side doesn't attach to anything on bottom. I just don't like having it not connected. So I created a little bracket to secure it. Am I nuts? Most likely.

What do people do to seal the gaps in the footbox, trans tunnel, etc? Aluminum tape?

I used ThermoTec and aluminum tape on the inside of the cockpit, so completely sealed from the elements.

I added a piece of .020 AL along there, since it will get covered up , I figured at least it will be secure. Follow my build, probably have the most rivets ever used in one of these cars before I am done;)

Not overkill. I did something similar. I also reinforced the floor. The floor was probably overkill.

Ha! Looking at your posts I'm worried about under-kill. Maybe I'll make a second bracket for the forward part of the wall.
