View Full Version : Breeze battery box
Is there any reason I couldn't install the Breeze battery box in the center? Asking because it doesn't fit that well in the standard location.
I have mine in the front on the passenger side and all fit well. having said that, as long as your front accessory drives are out of the way you should be fine mounting in the center. just be aware of your terminal routing and keep the lugs away from the cross member.

You should also consider where your lower radiator coolant tubes run before you commit to drilling and placing the battery box in the middle. It will vary depending on your engine but it would make sense to verify before you mount he battery box.
I think that's a good call. There's no rush to commit to it now.

Also as an FYI the breeze box mounts in three locations. The x bar if you place it in the middle negates one of those spots.

Are you referring to the three mounting holes? If so, yes I'd need to drill others if installed in any other location.

I had no issues with mounting it as recommended by Breeze. I also blinged it up a bit by polishing the bracket and rods, and wrapping the battery with polished SS. As Junbug suggested, a mid-mount could be problematic due to the radiator coolant tube routing, depending of course how you do that. In my case, a mid-mount would have been an issue.
