2022 Roadster - I have the updated door latches and it looks like I need to add the extension plates to both sides of the chassis to get the door latch to engage it. I mounted the body as per recommended, in tight to the chassis behind the front wheels both DS and PS, out a little on the PS in front of the back wheel and out more on the DS in front of the back wheel. The doors line up with the body fairly well the fender to door radius is good and the door fits relatively well till I position the striker and door latch. When i close the door to be in line with the body I exceed the inward adjustment of the striker post on both sides. Has anyone else run into this or am I making a mistake here and have not noticed it yet???
Thanks for any pointers!!!

I received the updated latches as well and had to use the extension on both sides...

Check out Ted G's build thread, he has a very elegant solution.

Thanks, I guess its good to know I'm not the only one having to use two. I'll have a look at Ted's build thread.
Thanks!

Iv'e done five of the new latches. 3 Cars only needed the extension on the pass side while using a carbide burr to open the drivers side to the max.Two cars needed the extension on both sides. I have made my own extensions. I have learned to use spacers on the latch pin to push the bear claw far enough forward on the door so the lower rear corner of the latch doesn't hit the door sill when closing ...da Bat

Thank's for the insight - I was thinking about a burr to open it up and if it would get the latch to work without making the metal too thin.. I'm thinkin others could be facing this situation soon as well.

I also ran into this issue as Mike Bray graciously gave me kudo's. Here is where that part of my thread is: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?42435-Ted-G-s-427-Cobra-Build-10333-Graduation-Day&p=516745&viewfull=1#post516745

Thanks Ted! Spectacular work, certainly a better fix, you should make a kit for this... (might break into your driving time though)

Ken Pike also said that, but the issue is there are limited chassis' with this problem as FFR revised the tabs for the new latches. I'm guessing just a couple hundred chassis' have this issue.
