I'm looking for 1/4" hose barb bulkhead fittings to pass the brake reservoir hose through the foot box. I wasn't having any luck on Summit. I don't really like the plastic one that came with the kit, plus I have 3 lines. Found these on McMaster Carr.

Seems like they'd work ok. Any other sources out there? Or other ideas.

consider drilling a hole through the footbox wall instead of using those fittings. it'll be one less spot to potentially leak fluid. drilling through the metal is a chore, but not too bad w/ a sharp bit and good drill. find a rubber grommet that is appropriately sized to fit around your tubing.

I bought some on Amazon. Find the shortest ones you can find. You may have to cut 1 barb off and get short 90 degree fittings for the reservoirs, but I lined them upon the firewall for a better look. Use line clamps and tighten until you can't turn the hose with moderate effort. I have no leaks so far, there's no pressure in the hoses.

Since I used a hydraulic clutch I routed brake reservoir lines and wiring harness through that space. 187557

Not a fan of that particular fitting from Mcmaster. It's made pretty cheap, especially the jamb nut. It is compact though and would be better with a different nut installed. It's nice to see someone plumbing through the firewall with proper bulkhead fittings instead of just running lines through holes.

Thanks for all the input. I like the look of the stainless one's on Amazon. I probably need to look there more often for bits like this. My current plan is to make an aluminum block off plate to rivet over the unused clutch cable hole and then use the bulkhead fittings. I'm sure there won't be room for all three there, but it will still make use of the space. I don't have my brake lines run yet either, so still kinda deciding where and how everything will get plumbed. Lots of staring, thinking, and planning going on in the garage at the moment. Amazing how much time this small stuff takes, vs actually bolting parts on. All part of the process though! One step, one system at a time!
