NRG Quick Release Steering Hub Jig

Hello,
I am looking to see if anyone has a Steering Hub Jig that I can borrow to drill my holes out on my NRG quick release steering wheel. (or other advice on drilling out without a jig) As I understand it, I will need to counter sink the existing 6 hub screws (shortening or buying shorter screws) then drill out the hub attached NRG piece and then finally the steering wheel attachment to the removable part of the NRG release. Also, just wondering how most people cut out the center of the hub attachment for the NRG. I know Paul (EdwardB) used a router and dremel but I am unfortunately without a router.

If you have access to a 3d printer I can send you the 2 files for the jigs. If not PM me and we can work something out. I used a hack saw and a dremel. I did mine without a jig. Used a hack saw and file to cut the center out, marked the holes and drilled it with a drill press. There is a counter sink drill bit to make the counter sunk holes. The process takes a few hours but is not hard, the end result is worth the effort.

I used a Dremel to cut away the NRG piece. Used a cutoff wheel and it slices through the aluminum pretty quickly. Cleaned it up with the sanding wheel, some files, and some sandpaper. I shipped my jigs off to another builder. Or you could just buy the NRG double-d hub and not have to worry about any of that— https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Y98AP1S. Mounts right to the steering shaft as is. Sure it costs a little extra, but seemed like a fair trade in terms of cost of time.

I have a set of the jigs but the problem is they are in Florida and I am in Michigan until mid-October. If you still want them, sent me a pm.

Sorry I did not provide my full details. I have the RT turn signal setup, so I'm not sure that hub will work.

Got it— then yes it's unclear if that would work. Although I still suspect it might— the hub is designed to work with an older production Ford Mustang vehicle with turn signals and such, so there is a possibility it could be nearly compatible. But who knows.
