Trying to make the "Perfect Pedalbox", but need some data!
What do folks measure for typical brake pedal travel? If anyone could grab a quick number with a tape measure I would be very thankful!

John,
Mine depresses about 2.0" before the pedal firms up.
I'm using the Wilwood Pedal box with a 3/4" Front and 5/8" Rear Master Cylinder set up.
My front brakes are the Standard Mustang GT with my rear brakes being 1995 Ford Explorer Disks.
Hope This Helps & Good Luck!

Something to think about. Add enough travel so that if you have a failure on either the front or back. If you have a break on a brake line the master cylinder for that side will bottom out adding extra travel before the other master cylinder start to be effective. If you do not account for this you will have the pedal on the floor and no brakes.

That does help, thanks GoDad!
Yeah Jeff, I hear you on the travel. I'm actually trying to figure out a good placement for my accelerator pedal.

The threaded rods that connect the cylinder to the balance bar. How does a longer or shorter setting effect the pedal push?

with my power brake setup - i get about 4" of travel till I feel the brakes start to bite
whitby power brakes (with vacuum) - what could be causing the excess travel to get the brakes to bite? almost feels like I need to put the pedal to the floor to get pressure
all 4 corners are bled, zero bubbles... the only thing I may try next is an ABS brake bleed if i get time to configure the laptop to do this
