Stewart dropped off build #2 at my house last night in Tonganoxie, KS! They are a well-oiled machine...only took 45 minutes. Sent him on his way with a nice tip and two dozen home-baked chocolate chip cookies (he had another drop-off in Wichita, so didn't stay for dinner). His name was 'Len' or 'Lynn' (couldn't tell which), but a great guy!

Haven't done inventory yet, and the POL list doesn't look too bad. I'm not in any huge hurry, so when stuff gets here, it gets here. Will get to inventory this weekend, and get the body on the buck.

Fired up to get going!

Nothing beats watching that truck come down the street.

Except first start..... or maybe go-kart, ........ or licensing..... or fresh paint. I guess it's all good. Enjoy the journey.

Congrats and enjoy every page of the manual. I still miss the build process.....but do enjoy the driving.

Yep, agreed. I built my first one in 4 months back in 2005, and now realize the build was as much fun as driving...maybe more! So, I'm going to savor this one! BTW...my Stewart driver was headed to Maize, KS for his next delivery after mine...got there around 845PM last night.

Deja' vu all over again isn't it Greg :)

Even after having a bunch of 'em delivered and it's still fun!

Sounds like the people on here make sure the Stewart Transport guys are well taken care of! I'll have to remember that when mine shows up. Congrats and happy building!

Indeed it is! I've noticed some changes. 2x2 square front x-member is now round. Chassis powdercoat is no longer gloss, but matte (I like it), and there's an odd horseshoe-shaped bit of frame that supports the front amber turn signals on the body. I'm sure I'll find other changes.

Say, Jeff...you may know...what's in box 18? I didn't have a box 18, and Stewart didn't put it on the truck...that line wasn't checked off by the driver when the truck was loaded, as if it's backordered. And I don't have a Box 18 line-item inventory sheet, either...my 45-page inventory stack goes from a sheet for Box 17 straight to box 19. Thinking maybe it's front brakes, but my POL list doesn't have front brakes on it. No biggee, it'll get sorted out. Was just curious.

It's been three years for me,,,but if I recall the box numbering is not consistent. You may get, for example>>> box 1-9...then jumps to box 12, 14-19, 20,22. I think it depends on the options you selected (i.e.suspension, brakes, seats, etc).

I am not a Jeff, but in my box 18 was my front calipers, rotors and brake lines. If you went Wilwood, that would be sent differently

Greg,
I'm not familiar with FFR's new system so things may be different however sometimes sequential boxes are not included if they contain an option that wasn't chosen. For example the list may skip over box #x because it is prepackaged with all of the heater components ...if you didn't purchase a heater you won't have that box. So, it may just be that box #18 is just a standardized package for an option that you didn't select. Or not! ;)

Thanks, that makes sense. Guessing they're on backorder, because I didn't see those parts anywhere on the inventory of any of the other boxes.

Still stings, doesn't it? :)

Seriously, though...we love Jalen Hurts. My wife is a Sooner fan, so he'll always be one of our favorites.

Take the duct tape off the fiberglass body NOW. If you wait a year like I did, it will take about an hour and an entire can of acetone to get off all the goo.

Congrats on build number 2!!!! I am sort of jealous. I love my MKIV that is finished but have this itch to go "once more unto the breach"..... It would be so much more fun with a second build knowing what I know. BY THE WAY, lived in KC for some time in the late 90s and went to med school there so I have a soft spot for the Chiefs even though I am a Bama grad :)
