View Full Version : Anyone recognize this kit?
An acquaintance bought this kitL https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/d/vista-cobra-kit-car/7636979044.html and is asking me to help him build it. I don't recognize it and it didn't come with a build manual.
Any help would be welcome.
Thanks,
Ray

Appears to be a very early Fiberfab, not well known until they sold the molds and became CMC, which went belly up (on paper) and was reborn as Innovative Street Machines (same family owners), which changed their name to Street Beasts (again, same family owners) before being shut done by the authorities for stealing peoples hard earned money. Roughly 60% of all kits sold by this family owned LLC's were never finished, nor were the owners shipped all the parts.
Tell your friend to slowly walk away from this "deal of a lifetime", cut his losses, as there is nothing but heartache and sorrow with this one.

PS: I'm biting my tongue and being kind with the above post. Have met far too many people over the years who got royally taken for a not so nice ride.

Good reading on the company:

and

Curt was a tell it like it is type of person then, as now.

I concur with Bill both on what it appears to be as well as the “run away” part ;)
