Need some help from AOD experts.
What are the correct pressures for the transmission cooling lines? I get 45psi into the radiator cooling port and 23psi from the exit port. Radiator is a new Champion part. I got the same numbers from the donor radiator.
I have an issue with drain-back on the transmission. The transmission internal drain-back valve is not seating correctly. I installed a Ford drain-back valve in the cooling return line and its costing me 11 psi giving 12 psi back into the transmission where it is used to lube the front half of the tranny. The Ford drain-back valve appears to have fixed the issue I was having.
Is 12 psi too low?
