As I continue to complete my parts list for my upcoming MK4 build, I知 struggling with what to buy for air cleaner and valve covers. Building 331 Stroker and topping it off with a Holley Sniper 4150. Plan on painting block ford blue and leaving aluminum heads and intake their natural color. I guess I値l paint water pump and timing chain cover blue also and dress out the pulley system in a serpentine polished billet aluminum. There are so many options and combinations I知 having a hard time deciding. If you have a photo or comment and not to much trouble to reply I壇 really appreciate it.

Here is an American Company that I think you will like and they even to custom stuff too.

David,
It's hard to beat the classic look of the finned black "Cobra" covers with an oval air cleaner however the downside is that that air filter setup with the short element is known to be pretty restrictive. Here's one I put together a few years ago:

If you want it to breathe freely replace the oval with a 14" K&N with an X-Stream top like my friend Steve Justice did on his 427W.

Jeff, love the top one with oval. Been planning classic look. Been considering the sniper stealth because of the classic carburetor look.

I have a 331 strokes with a Sniper EFI. Oval air cleaner breaths fine but, you have to install at least a 1/2 spacer between the cleaner and the Sniper. The restriction with this air cleaner is the top will be very close to the inlets on your carb or throttle body without a spacer under the base.
The oval air cleaner may cause a RF problem with the Sniper!

The black crinkle valve covers are known for rogue, nearly-invisible hairline cracks that slowly leak oil. So slow they are hard to locate. If I ever built another engine I would go with "solid" stamped ones, either chrome or painted.

I put these valve covers on last year.

These are polished, but they also come in a couple of different colors.

If you're interested, I have these covers and filter with the spacer that I ran with a Sniper before putting the stacks on.

You can get a thicker filter for the oval if you go that way. If you use the stock skinny filter, MAKE SURE that the filter lid has some clearance to the carb vent tubes. You will have all kinds of drivability issues including, but not limited to, severe flooding that results in an epic header fire. Ask me and my hairless elbow how I know.

For the aluminum Cobra valve covers. They assume that you have stock rockers. You may need to modify the baffles or get spacers for roller rockers.
