I just purchased some headers/pipes for my upcoming build from Georgie because of the 4th 10% of sale. I love the look of the chunky perforated heat shields that some have especially in the black finish. Was just wondering if those things are universal or if each company makes their own special fitment versions.. if the later is the case I guess I'm *** out because I do not see any on GAS-N's site!

I used the perforated heat shields from cobrastuff.com on my Gas-N side pipes and they fit perfectly.

I have the cobra stuff ones, and the gas n pipes. Haven't gotten to that part of the build yet, but very happy to hear they fit.
Mine are all black, so I'm going for the same look as the op.
Heat shields are generally universal based on the diameter of the clamps that are used to attach them to the pipes. Mine are from a company called Steel Shields and you can see some of the mounting details here:

Do either of you with the cobrastuff.com shields have the louder version of the gas-n pipes? Is there an outer diameter difference I should be concerned with.. and also, did they come to you already blacked out because I'm not seeing that as an option.. at least not black pc specifically! Thanks!

I have the louder (non-touring) pipes and the heat shields fit fine. I ordered them bare and had Jet Hot do a satin black ceramic coating on the side pipes and heat shields.

I have a set of heat shields that were on my FFR stainless pipes. I just installed a set of Gas-N-Pipes. With the FFR pipes the clamp went around the muffler portion of the pipe. When I went to put them on my new pipes, the clamps are so wide apart the would rest on the pipe outside the muffler portion. How do the cobrastuff.com shields fit? A photo would be great.

The Cobrastuff heat shields fit outside the muffler portion of the side pipes, on the smaller diameter sections. Here's are a couple of "with and without" shots to give you an idea of how they fit on the Gas-N pipes.
