View Full Version : Seat belt attach hardware?

As the title suggests, I've got a question on the seatbelt attaching hardware.
The "book" says to install lap belts using supplied hardware. I don't see a bag with the belt kits nor do I see any mention of these in the inventory sheets. I'm "guessing" that I could use 1/2" grade 8 shoulder bolts, washers and locknuts to mount them?

Thanks,
Steve

Just be sure the belts are free to rotate on the bolts. If the webbing ends up pulling on the hardware at an angle that is how belts slowly but surely come apart.

Each end of the belts get a 1/2-13x1" bolt, a matching nylock nut and 2 flat washers.

There is absolutely no reason to use grade 8 bolts.

The FFR provided hardware is grade 5.

Agree. AN8 is a much better choice. :)
