Header fitment?

Hi Guys
I purchased some shorty headers and tried to install on my 5.0 l engine but by reversing the header the right side bumps into the idler and distributor bracket, the ones that were on the engine are slightly shorter but those have the same problem, what am I missing?
Is there another bracket I need to put on the engine to allow clearance or is there a certain brand header to purchase that I missed?

What year is your engine? Hopefully not a 94 or 95... They always have these problems...

The 94-95 models are different than the 1988-1993 engines. Those year donor cars have a lot of little differences and create a lot of aggravation. The brackets are different on the engine and the whole top end is different too. From what I have seen you will have to run the older 1988-1993 brackets and water pump on the front of the engine with a 1994 engine. You can either find the parts from another older engine or you should be able to get all new brackets from March Pulleys.
