Is anyone using fender well inserts or does anybody make them for the MKIV?
We have the fender liners in our MK-II and they work great. Don't know if there is a difference (or enough of a difference between the different MK-versions) to cause a problem. The best thing to do is get a hold of Alex (http://acroadsterinteriors.com/Index.html) and see.

Thanks Ray. I'll do some research there. Nick
Nick,
Make sure that you call and e-mail. Alex is busy and might not get back to you right away but be patient, the products are worth the wait.

I'm curious Ray. Does the bulb seal on Alex's liners, actually replace the bulb seal normally used on the aluminum splash shields, or simply used in addition to them? Do the plastic attachment clips they come with, sufficient enought to hold them on solidly, or did you add additional rivets or any other fasteners to supplement them.?
Also..can they be easily installed on a finished car?

The liners install over the FFR aluminum. I used the plastic clips that were included with the liners and the rivets/angles as well. It would be best to install them on a completed car (but take the wheels off before you try to fit them.....)

Called and spoke with Alex last week. Very personable guy. Talked about wheel well liners, the weather, mining for gold, ect.
I had just downloaded his order form and mailed it in with a check. I told him I was a little worried about placing an order without talking to him directly. After speaking with him I realized there is nothing to worry about. He said he never talks to most of his customers. He just gets the order and knocks it out when he can.
I'll post when the liners arrive.

Mailed a check to Alex Jan 12 for his wheel well liners and got them today. No complaints from me!!
They look great and are very made, but I will have to wait for better weather to install, and we are talking months.
