Folks,

I am going to put in the Wilwood electronic brake as a button on my dash. I think that means I have no need for the bracket on the transmission tunnel. Should I chop it off or just leave it? I can't think of any reason to not chop it off, on the other hand, I don't know that it gets me all that much if I do chop it off. This question is prompted by a question in another thread around transmission fit.

Chop it off?
Leave it?

Thanks!
Dan

If you don't need to remove it, I'd leave it there just incase you or a future owner ever wanted to go with the standard e-brake setup.

Put the left park caliper on the right and the right caliper on the left.

I cut the bracket off and covered the hole with a patch.

I plan on keeping the hand brake lever for some original look, but it will not be active and I will use the Wilwood ebrake as well. I did think about putting some micro switches on the parking brake to have it activate the e-brake, but not sure I will get down to that level.

I did the same.
