On my last build, I blacked out the FFR Halibrands. Came out really nice and always liked them. New build coming up and thinking about doing something different. Although I'm not sure yet if they come in the correct size and backspace, I'm looking at the Forgestar CF5Vs in a gloss or satin black. Anyone have pics of other options?

I got these from LMR. Similar to your blacked out halibrands.

I don’t have mine mounted yet but they are the matte bronze from Forgestar. Just email them with the exact size, offset and other details and they’ll make them for you for roughly the same price as many others.

I'm running a similar wheel to these that are offered by Late Model Restoration.

The version I have are from OEWHEELS LLC, but are out of production.

The link below let's you see what they look like on the car:

Yes they offer custom offset for many (if not all) wheels. Here are my forgestar F14s in satin black. I gave them the 18" hallibrand specs and they matched them.

Yes, just send them an email from the link on their website with your desired specs and model of wheel and they’ll give you a quote.

How's the turning with the 275's up front? Any contact?

I'm old and old school so I like some bling. I went with American Racing polished pin drive wheels from Vintage Wheels (https://vintagewheelsus.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_62_94&products_id=634).

Yes, steering rack limiters are a must or you need to self regulate how far you turn. I’ve definitely rubbed the inside wheel well before sorting it out.

Mustang SVE Bullitt style wheels from LMR in anthracite. 17x9 in the front and 17x10.5 in the rear. Nitto NT555 G2 tires in 275/40/17 and 315/35/17. It's a good balance between modern and vintage with a nice anthracite gray that matches well with the rest of the car.

Blitzboy was who I stole/copied/adopted for mine. Those wheels are nice and you can get the cobra caps off ebay pretty cheap. Get the longer stem lugs if needed or you'll find out the hard way that you need to buy them.

They'll touch---as will 255s and 245s. But with all it's just a kiss at 98% of full lock and not something that comes into play in normal driving (unless normal driving includes making 3 point turns inside of your garage...which I have :))

I saw a picture of Justin S's MKIV build from the FFR's front page (November 2022). I don't see a build thread for him but looks like he used the Signature SV302 Deep Concave wheels in a Satin or Gloss black. Picture attached.

Here's the website for the wheels. Do these look the same as the picture? Hard to see at the angle.

I'm having fun searching for some of these wheels I like and am hitting a lot of "Out of Stock" on the suppliers websites. Not that I'm officially in the market, but I like to see how much some of these wheels are fetching, when you can buy them.

Here are some pictures. They are the same wheels Joey Logano put on his roadster. You can see them in action if you find those snap-on build videos.

I see that now. They looked great on his car. Is the concave depth just a choice outside of the offset? Did you get semi deep for the front and super deep for the rear?

Looks like Joey had super deep for both front and rears. I was thinking maybe deep for the fronts and super deep for the rears? They've got a 15% off summer deal going now.

My tires are pretty well aged out so you've got me thinking of moving up to 18's.
Currently I'm running 245/45-17 up front and 285/40-17 out back.
The offsets for these wheels would actually tuck the fronts in.
Now all I can can say is: Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!

Yes - semi deep up front and super deep in the rear. The semi deep was the only one available with the 18x9 and offset that matched FFR wheels, and I wasn't comfortable deviating too much from the recipe and risking some kind of a geometry interference issue down the road. Maybe they could answer that for you.

Other than that the concave is just a choice. The "Custom backspacing" i believe is just the amount of machining they do to the inside center of the wheel to get the backspacing you're looking for. Each concavity has a range you can customize based on the casting. So not infinitely customizeable, but lots of options.

I asked Forgestar about using Deeps on the front with the Halibrand wheel specs and they said no problem. So I'll put my order in tomorrow for those and Super Deeps on the rears. Thanks again for the post.

Edit: Now Forgestar says that you'd have to step up to a 8x10 wheel in the front to get a Deep concavity. Not sure that would work with Wilwood brakes? Have to think about this one a little more.

I was going to get those in the satin black, but that bronze is looking pretty sweet. If they are into taking the specs on demand maybe they have a few more colors they don't show on their site as well? I'd like to get the Anthracite color in a matte finish. I'll write them and see what they say.

Was there a previous post that had a spreadsheet with wheel fitment within each model without rubbing? Rim / Tire Size and off sets? Having trouble locating that information. The maximum you can go with etc? Curious myself what is out there beyond the custom realm that fits.
