Hi all,
Working on the trunk and found that the seal lip was trimmed or manufactured too narrow. This causes the seal to be seen from the outside when the lid is closed (gap set to 3/16).
Some areas are worse than others; some areas are fine. The lip's width is inconsistent all the way around.
Have others run into this? Thought I'd ask before starting on a solution to this which consists of trying to extend the lip, etc. Could get tricky as the extension does not need to be much and the glass is thick.
