I've been searching threads and finding photos of some of the ideas realized for adding reverse lights to their Roadster build.

I'm adding the wiring, but I still don't know what my hardware/light plan is going to be. Maybe there was a prior thread like this, and I just didn't find it - but this could be a central location for ideas put into practice in order to meet state requirements for those that needed to (or just chose to) - for assisting those who follow.

I'm curious to see those solutions and how they aesthetically fit, or were hidden, or whatever. Post pics, and let's see 'em!

Thanks!

I went a little stealthy. They are smoked so they are dark when not lit. They stick out directly under the quick jacks. I actually don't have a picture with them on.

I like that! I am also going stealthy but thinking staying within my stripes and painting the trip the same color as my stripes. Nothing on yet, but my wiring is ready to go. I'm in the final assembly stage.

Mounted on the fuel tank straps. Small driving lights shaded black. Can hardly see them when off. Light up the night when on.

I just hung an LED in the center, wired from an "ignition on" fused circuit, through the TKO-600 switch, to the light. I did it during the build and was pretty simple. Making the bracket to hold the LED was the hardest part.

Here's the light. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's plenty bright too.

EDIT: Looks like the original light is unavailable, but here's a link that may link to something similar.

Could I ask you to please fix that link? This is something I'd be interested in copying but that link is broken.

Thank you.

I saw a builder once place LEDs drilled and recessed into the backside of his roll bar. Looked really clean

Here's what I could get, but it shows as unavailable. Maybe some of the "you may also like..." links may help.

Also, check out SuperBright LEDs, https://www.superbrightleds.com They have quite a collection. I used a lot of their stuff on my build.

Kool AC, what is the part number for those backup lights?

I've seen that, too, but those were acting as a 3rd brake light on the car I'm thinking of. I like the idea of them being a reverse light.

I used Watsons Streetworks HotSlot bright white LED backup lights #L63BW-5. I fabricated the brackets out of aluminum angle.

My reverse lights are that super small LED below the body bolt. They are installed in the lower hole where the quick jacks would have gone if I had opted to use them. These little LEDs are amazing— very bright.

Thanks for posting that one. I like all of these, but I do like this one a lot. I makes me wonder what a single round clear Lucas L539 type lamp, in that sort of location, would look like (or even two mounted symmetrically). Sure gives me something to think about.

I love these pictures, but somehow keep getting Sir Mix-a-Lot going through my head.
