Couple months away from delivery and I'm trying to figure out where is the best place to store the body. I have a standard 2 car garage and was thinking I could just build a raised body buck and store the inventory underneath. I don't have a place outside to store the body. The other option I have is one of my family members garage. They have plenty of space for it, but it's about 2 hours from my house.

I built a raised body buck on wheels that rolls in and out of my one garage bay, with the frame stored underneath.
The flaw in my plan is that the garage door is not high enough to let me get the frame very far up off of the ground to work on it well.
Granted I'm doing the Speedstar with its fixed roof, you'd be in a better position with the low slung roadster body.
After a big purge a few weeks back the other bay is cleaned out enough that I could probably put it in there now, with the engine and a good amount of the parts boxes underneath.

How high is your ceiling? U can hang it there and likely still walk under.

I built a hanger in my garage - I have 10 ft ceilings and the lowest part of the body just grazes my head at 6ft. I could legitimately squeeze another 6” of clearance but I’m fine with it. Hanging from ceiling means open floor below - no posts to deal with.
I’ve got a pic or two in my build thread. glad to send additional pics if it helps

I would store it at the family member. I was working on the chassis to get to go-kart for year and half before I ever even considered getting the body.

I have 8ft cielings. I don't thing hanging it is an option but it would have been nice to not have posts
An elevated rolling body buck worked great in my two-car garage. With a little forethought, you can design it to be able to roll the chassis out from beneath the body buck from the side instead of the front. This way, you don't have to open the garage door every time you want to work on it. With the slats across the top, I could store parts on the upper level with the body. I bought the corner braces from Home Depot.

My ceiling isn't that tall and I was able to hang the body and walk under it.

Family members on the buck. I didn't even look at the body for a long time after starting the project.
