Sounds like a baffle broke loose, suggestions to repair or is replace the only option? Car has 14k miles.

A couple of 1 1/2-2” sheet metal screws installed from the unseen backside of the muffler area of the sidepipe will often engage the baffle and pull it tight to the outer shell.

Jeff,
Thanks, I’ll give it a try! Any particular location for the screws? What size screw, 6,8,etc.?

I think I used 8s. I used a self drilling screw so it could drill the hole in the inner piece to the perfect size for thread engagement. But I drilled the outer hole to be a slip fit.

I have the same issue on my Roadster # 9866, barely 1200 miles, and they rattle. They were part no. 14932 from the FFR order form.

Is there no type of warranty on these products? I am not keen on drilling holes and sheet metal screws.

I noticed the DS rattling from day #1 of go karting.
I wear ear plugs when driving but will consider the screws if/when it bugs me enough.

FFR replaced my stainless pipes for free when I complained about a rattle. I had about 15K miles on it...

I just inquired of FFR about the rattle in my 1200-mile car, and they suggested the screw fix. That sounded like a "ghetto" operation to me, and I said I didn't want to drill holes and put screws in my new stainless side pipes.
