Hi Everyone.

I am working on the rear brakes and have the FF 13" IRS brake kit. I upgraded the rotors with Powerstop calipers.

Following the instructions, they indicate to put the brakes pad in the calipers. Easy enough, however there is no mention of the small hardware bag of parts that arena the kit. It has all the steel clips and all. I see the instructions for the front and know what to use. But not the rear.

Does the rear use any of the clips? Or just toss the pads in and let-r-rip tator chip style?

As always, appreciate the feedback.

Thx, Tom

That’s what I did. I remember those springs being a B to stay out, but looks like you’re already there

Thx mmklaxer. That’s what is in it now. Just the pads.

Tom,

I have the same rear brake set up. The stainless steel clips that came with my brake pads did not fit the FFR supplied calipers. I contacted FFR to see if there was something I was missing. Here is the email reply I got:Talked with a couple of our engineers, and they say we skip installing the clips all the time.

Another input for you on the 2015 IRS brake set up. The way the caliper is mounted puts the brake bleeder screw almost parallel to the ground. I couldn't get all the air out of the caliper with it mounted this way. I ended up removing the front mounting bolt so I could tip the caliper moving the bleeder screw from horizontal to vertical. That let me get the last bit of air out.
