Where do I get updated instructions on wiring the FFR GPS Vintage Gauges? I clearly have different wiring than is in the Chassis Wiring Harness instructions that came with the Ron Francis kit. For example here is a picture of my ignition switch. It doesn't look like the one in the instructions. I think I got all the wires right but I am not sure which brown wire to connect, the one that says ACC Feed or the unmarked one? I have a Gen 3 Coyote with a 1 wire alternator.

My other issue is the black gauge dial light cable (page 61 of the instructions). I don't seem to have these wires on my gauges or a connector cable. Is that something that has changed? Updated instructions would be helpful.

The small unmarked one is for the exciter in the alternator. You
Don’t
Need it for the coyote.

Thanks Mike. Did the wiring for the FFR GPS Vintage gauges change? What I am reading in the FFR Chassis Wiring Harness instructions seems different. I even downloaded what I think is the most recent update from the FFR site but it is the same as the instructions that came with my kit. The instructions that came with the Vintage gauges seem to be for adapting a mustang harness. What am I missing here? I thought this would be a straightforward part of the build.

Two comments: First, I'm curious what wiring manual you have. The one that came with the Ron Francis harness, right? Doesn't make sense they would show how to hook up a Mustang donor harness in that manual. The most recent versions have two sections. One for Autometer gauges and one for Speedhut gauges. Both to the Ron Francis harness. Second, the wiring diagram in the wiring manual and the Speedhut directions are the two most important things IMO. If you study and understand the schematic, and put that together with the diagrams from Speedhut, all the wiring comes together. Best to understand then you won't get tripped up on what color goes with what color, etc.

Here are the instructions I got with my kit.
https://www.factoryfive.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Chassis-Harness-rev-W.pdf
FFR also has these instructions on their website.
https://www.factoryfiveparts.com/content/instructions/16007-ffr-electric-gps-gauges.pdf
I am not sure which I should be using.

Assuming you're installing the Ron Francis harness, the first one. "Chassis Wiring Harness." That one's specifically for the Ron Francis harness. The other, you're right, is for a Mustang donor harness. Ignore it.

So here is my problem with those instructions. See page 61. My gauges do not have the black wire coming out of the back that attaches to the black gauge dial light cable. I only have the multi-color power distribution wires and connector cable. Did I get a defective set of gauges?

I don't think you've got a defective set, but I suspect you've got the newer style gauges SpeedHut is currently providing to F5 (and F5/RF hasn't updated their instructions to reflect the newer hardware). An easy way to tell is to look at the oil pressure sender. If it's got three wires, it's the newer style gauge; if two wires with ring connectors, then you've got the older style.
If these instructions (https://speedhut.com/content/instructions/TL_Gauge_Instrucitons_216-258.pdf) don't seem applicable, I recommend you contact SpeedHut at the number at the bottom of page 2 & tell them your situation. In my experience, their customer support is very good.

Those instructions don't look right either. I definitely have a different set of gauges. Here is a picture of the back.

The speedometer apparently has the left and right turn signal indicator lights built into it. Here is a picture of the wires coming out of it. The color of these wires does not match the wiring diagram in the FFR instructions.

I made my best guess when attaching these to the indicator light wires on the RF harness. The right dash indicator wire (blue on RF harness) was attached to the green/red indicator wire from the speedo. I then attached the Left Dash Indicator wire to the green/orange speedo wire. Finally the High Beam indicator wire was attached to the blue speedo wire. Where am I supposed to connect the black ground wire in this picture. There isn't a ground wire coming out of the speedometer.

I have not contacted speedhut but looks like i need to do that.

None of the speedhut instructions match the gauges I got from FFR. I contacted FFR about an update for wiring these gauges. I will let you know what I get from them.

I would contact Speedhut. It's their product. They will have the most current wiring information for it. Anything you'd get from FFR would just be second-hand from Speedhut.

I talked to Tech support at SpeedHut. He didn't have updated instructions for me but looked at my pictures and was able to tell me which wires controlled which signals/lights etc. The most important was the speedometer wires that were completely different from the FFR or RF instructions. Black - ground, Green/Orange - left dash turn signal indicator, Green/red - right dash turn signal indicator and Red/black - constant 12 volt power for the GPS.
These gauges do not have a box and black gauge dial light cable because they are LED lit by the black/red/white wire on each gauge.
