I'm new to the forum and this is my first post.... I have the mk4 kit order from ffr as well as a hardtop from Andy. I'm told the ffr high back aluminum seats will not work with the hard top (or the ffr roll bars). Is anyone aware of a high back seat that will fit under the top? Thanks in advance.

I assume you are referring to the Kirkey seat. I can't imagine how they would not work w/ the FFR rollbars Depending on install detail the shoulder wings need to me bent a little narrower to clear the body but height is not a problem. I am not familiar w/ the hardtop for Andy. Do you have a link?

The Kirkey highbacks work fine with the FFR rollbars. The 427 hardtop will not work with the FFR rollbars and in fact won't work with the shorter Breeze rollbars unless they are cut down about 1.5". I can't speak for the Kirkey highbacks specifically with the 427 top but imagine that the combination of those seats with the top would make entry and exit pretty difficult.

Here's the hardtop. I may just have to wait until the hardtop is fitted to check clearances for a seat. Thanks.

Jeff is right - entry/exit is fun enough with the regular seats. You'll have 12" clearance between the body and the hardtop at the center of the rollbar. I had to cut down my Breeze roll bars.

427 Hardtop says the windshield will fit... if you loosen it, fit the top and tighten windshield. Does that work? Re roll bar clearance, My rolls are 2" and I envision cutting them down at the bottom of the roll bars. If that's correct, why would buying Breeze bars be desired? Share something for me to say... "oh yeah, I didn't think of that". I am 100% decided for the 427 Hardtop but need someone in FL to fit it. Doug in Daytona

I added headrests to the standard FFR seats, may be an option for you.

Yes that works for the windshield, the chassis has enough adjustment available to achieve the proper angle.
They are desired over the factory five oem roll bars for:
-larger diameter looks better (my opinion) (vs the MK4 stock)
-they are shorter to begin with which helps
-they aren't assembled or finished and since you'll need to weld/paint anyway, why pay for finished roll bars
-they are slightly raked backwards which also helps with height and I think looks better.
