I got involved in this build about half way through completion. It is now done and ready to go.
Check out the stripe color dash and Trans Cover. Nice look, just hope it holds up

This was the car that I was having trouble getting the drivers side header to fit. I ended up machining a 5 degree angle on the face of the header flange in order to get it to fit. Looks nearly perfect now.

Looks great! That trans tunnel cover may get a bit warm in the sun, watch the skin. Glad you got the header worked out. It would still be nice to know what the root cause was.

Real nice, with a minimalist, almost "Menonite," look.

Mike how did you correct the header problem? Did you ever find the real cause ?

Guys I never found the root cause of the bad header fit. I ended up maching a 5 degree taper on the face of the header flange in order to getr it to work. I pity anybody else that runs into this and does not have access to a machine shop. I would have been lost otherwise

Mike,
Cool idea for different color and accents. Did you powdercoat or paint the chrome parts? I just remembered that I once built a roadster model with triple rear tires on each side (sort of the Big Daddy Roth look). It had no chrome, just silver and black. Wow! I guess I liked it then and definitely like it now! Great job. See you later. WEK.
