Hello, I'm looking for some installation pictures for the roadster seats, mainly the hardware, which was not supplied from the previous owner. We all know the FFR manual isn't very good, with the one dark picture they provided. Thanks!

If you are installing seat sliders, do they not come with instructions? Here's a set if you need them.

As far as hardware goes, the seats themselves only came with 4 bolts, ny-lock nuts, and washers.

Being quite tall, 6'3", I chose to bolt the seat directly to the floor. Doing this allowed me to move the seat back further than you can with the tracks. Some builders doing this added a spacer under the front of the seat, to angle it up slightly for comfort, but this also restricted how far back the seat would go, because the backrest would also angle back, and contact the rear cockpit bulkhead..

You'll first want to orient the seat position. To fit best, they usually sit at a slight angle, not pointed straight forward. You also want to ensure the bolts are mounted thru the frame, or seat plate. I think I had one that could not line up with anything other than the aluminum floor. I can't recall exactly as it was a long time ago.
I do have this picture if that helps you.

The Breeze seat mounts work great, and come with detailed instructions. (Forum vendor) They are adjustable and lift the front of the seat a bit making it much more comfortable.
Give Mark a call if you have questions. He is extremely helpful and a super nice guy,….and he won’t sell you anything he doesn’t think will help you.

Do these help with taller folks (6')?

Captain,

> I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam and have the Breeze Mounts.
> I've got the Big & Tall Factory-5 seats and these mounts lean you back a bit making them a lot more comfortable.
> If I were any longer in the legs, I'd need to change over to a set of Kirkey Race Seats.
> I'm told that the 17" wide Kirkey Seats is what fits the best in the MK-4 Roadsters.

Hope This Helps!

Steve
