We installed our manual rack steering system and proceeded to do the 2.5 turns to the right and the 2.5 turns to the left for a total of 5 turns. When we tried to align the steering rack in the center we found that our steering wheel only turned 1.5 turns to the right and 1.5 turns to the left for a total of 3 turns. Could FF have possibly sent me the wrong steering rack? Any one else heard of this issue? The wheels. they are hard over right and left just as you would expect. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. We are planning on contacting FF Monday morning.
Thanks
Cleve

Pretty sure all the manual racks hat FFR supplies are 3 turns not 5

Yup, mine's 3 regardless of whether or not it's installed on the car.

Thanks for the comebacks. Glad to see its 3. We were just questioning it because the FF build video said 5 turns.

My rack is also a 3 turn lock to lock and it is well suited for the MK-4 roadster.
Curvy back roads are a blast, along with Interstate Cruising.
Parking lots are another story.

That video was made when Fox Body Mustangs were easy and cheap to use as donors. Things have changed.

That may be the power steering rack, I seem to remember mine being 5 turns.
