File this in the OCD folder.

For those of you who have used black rivets, were they a flat/matte sheen or gloss? Asking because my panels are being coated matte black and I'd like the rivets to blend in as much as possible. Unfortunately none of the usual sources indicate anything more descriptive than "black". And it's hard to tell from the many forum pictures.

Not a huge deal since most won't be seen, but I thought I'd ask.

My black rivets look to be flat black. You can tell there is a rivet there because they don't match the paint exactly but don't stand out like a normal rivet would. I think I ordered mine from Home Depot a year ago. I only use the black ones where people might see them.

I painted my own rivets (about 30 of them). I stuck a bunch of them in a piece of cardboard and primed, then I came back the next day and painted them.

That's a good idea and definitely an option..
