I've looked through a bunch of first start posts but didn't see anything about this. What do you guys use to cap the tank filler tube for an efi first start. I believe the tank needs to pressurize but maybe I'm wrong and only the fuel lines pressurize?

No need to cap the tank. Tank only will be under a little pressure if you have an evap emissions system

Kinda the same as Rich, but I used a rag, covered by a plastic bag that I held tight around the filler tube with painter's tape.

And the tank won't pressurize, at least not appreciably; you've got a big ol' vent at the back center so that you can fill the tank without it burping all over the filler. Any pressure is going to come right out of that vent.

Rag over the top and then a Campbell’s soup can. It was tomato I think.
