The radiator cap that came with my Gen 1 kit seeps a little when the engine reaches operating temp. I assume it's a 16 lb. cap. Are all caps universal or do I have to get a cap for a specific vehicle?
One reason my cap may not be sealing properly is that I've noticed some white, crusty build-up/corrosion on the sealing surfaces of the radiator neck. Any idea how to get rid of this build-up?
My FFR supplied overflow tank is located on the passenger side firewall with the overflow connected to the radiator with rubber & steel line and seems to be working okay. Any body have any issues with this same set-up? Should the overflow tank be mounted closer to the radiator to avoid the long distance travel of the coolant back and forth?
Thanks
