All
I'm in the final stages of fitting everything together before paint etc. I've hooked up the door latch -> cable -> handle etc and already broke off some of the cheap molded metal from the door handle. I'm not to confident that this setup is going to last long term. Not a big fan of the cable setup.
Has anyone else gone a different route ? I know door poppers are an option but wanted to see if there is anything simpler. Any kind of rod setup available with better quality handles ?
thanks!

I went this route and really love the end result. 2 years now and still work perfectly. I'll try to find a completed picture and update the post.

I have the standard plastic door handles and remote poppers that also have an inside button, works well. I made aluminum covers for the door access hole that cover the actuator.

Could you please attach some pics of this setup ?

Here are some pictures.
The actuator mount in the door, the wire going into the door, the finished door with the aluminum cover and the red buttons for the inside door popper operation. The cover has 3M carbon fibre look stick on material on it and black door edge protector to give it a finished look.
There is a cable from the actuator to the door latch but I don't have pictures of how it attaches to the latch.

Thanks for posting!
Looks awesome! I'm definitely going to look into those door poppers too.

David, how does the inside door handle work with this setup ? Does it also activate the popper, or is it directly cabled to the latch ?
thanks!

The inside handle and the popper are independent so you can use either. They both pull on the latch.
