Well, body is at the painter and I've been putting some miles on #10333. This past Memorial Day weekend was so beautiful here in Northern California I just had to get out there. This go-kart stage is fun; wind in your face, no doors on, feeling the heat from the motor and hearing the roar of those side pipes is just purely exciting!! However, I cannot wait to get the body on soon. Ken Pike is doing my paint and he thinks he'll be painting this week. The body has already been fitted and primed with the final prime coat.

Here is a couple pics from my drive this weekend and our new puppy, Shelby. She is a 14 week old Bernedoodle Mini that is so sweet and loves her car!

My dog likes to chill while I work on the car too. He's gonna be pissed about not riding in it some day...

Ted she is looking sweet, are you planing on leaving that fuel pressure gauge attached? Have heard they are prone to failure which can lead to engine fires. I actually just removed mine from my Aeromotive regulator did not want to risk it blowing fuel.

Yea, I guess I should. Even though I'm only at about 6 PSI

Or maybe ask Elliott what he thinks... I do not think it matters on pressure, if that gauge fails and starts leaking on a hot manifold could quickly turn into a bad day.

I've heard the only negative feedback on the R888R's is the road noise. Any comment on that?

I must have read this comment else where. I have them on my 13 Shelby GT500 and after reading did some weekend driving.
Only noticeable noise, I got was expansion strips on roads. Tire pressure 35 lbs make a pop, at highway speeds.

Great tires, side walls stiffer than some comparable brands. I like that for stability on the heavy car.
Hope this helps.
