As always beautiful work and incredible dedication to your vision for your car.

I'm trying to learn here. On the subject of the fender flares, I'm not 100% clear on the finish process on the outside joint surfaces after the mat/resin/cloth reinforcing exercise on the back side to get it structurally sound.

You showed an initial layer on the outside to stabilize the joint before you went to work on the back side. When you eventually circled back to the outside, did I hear you right that you ground all of that off, down to the subsequently added backside layers and then started back up from there? If so what was the layer composition for that? Would I be correct that you feathered out the junction of the flare & body so that it was paper thin at the actual butt joint, tapering out to the original panel thicknesses at some distance back away from that? Then successive layers of material each a bit wider than the previous one until you were back to approximately flush thickness?

Thanks,

Earl

Yep. That is pretty much the process.
