Have a 306ci engine from Blueprint. Have had some stumbling under acceleration. Have had a few suggestions, one being a hotter coil. Currently I’m a stock AC/Delco coil. Any recommendations for a hotter coil that will fit in place of what I have now. Also, I bought my engine in 2015, any idea what year the block would come from?

You're hesitation issue is more than likely a tip-in issue with the carburetor. A stock coil will be more than enough for a mild 5.0

FWIW, I have a Pertronix coil to go with my Pertronix distributor. No points in the distributor. But, Like Frank said, I wouldn't start there. What carb are you running? Check the power valves. They may be either too loose or too tight.

Have you tried plugging in to see what the data says?

You need to find someone else to associate with. A hotter coil, it just never ends.
Give us some more detail and you should have an easy fix.
Not much difference in 302 blocks? unless you are just curious.
Google casting numbers for Ford 302s. You should get enough info to ball park your block.
Did the carb come with the engine from blueprint? Did distributor come installed in engine?
Where is the hesitation, rpm, throttle, etc?
Did the engine ever run without hesitation?
Cannot wait to get your going full throttle again!

I had a similar problem with my Edelbrock carb that I used before the Sniper upgrade. Following the instructions in the tuning manual one step at a time resolved the issue. Turned out to be a lean out in transition. It was ten years ago but, I believe the final changes were one size up on the main jets, one step up on the needles and one position greater on the accelerator pump linkage.
Would have been easier to do on a dyno but, was accomplished by making a change, going for a test drive, making another change, going for another drive etc. I think it took 7 attempts to get it done.
