Hi all,

I have searched but been unable to find pictures with the trans tunnel cover on of anyone running a TKX with the shifter in the center location (just flipped 180* from stock, not on the higher section that most refer to as the "mid shift" location). I know this requires cutting the center brace, and I have seen plenty of photos of what that process looks like, but not of what the finished product will look like when all covered up. Can anyone share? Thank you in advance!

I am using the center location with the Forte shifter. I also added a steel plate to move the shifter even more forward. It puts the shifter very close to where the "mid shift" location would be.

Coyote, TKX, mid shift, (180* reversed)...

you don't realize how dirty your carpet is until you take a high-res pic.

I also flipped mine 180 degrees and made a plate to "tilt" my shifter. I love the location with the much shorter shifter.

I like that look. Why the plate vs. a shift lever that has a bend at the end? I haven’t looked into different shapes of levers yet so maybe that’s not an option? Thanks!

Well, I wanted the the short shifter that has the old school reverse lock out look (non functional). They just don't make that in a short version that is bent. It was an easy modification with some 1/4" aluminum.

This is what it looks like under the trans cover. I did NOT have to cut the frame. Depending on your motor set up, you may not either. I added the sheet aluminum so that the trans cover could be attached via the shifter ring only; so all four screws are into metal.
