I've started the process of ordering my FF MK4 Roadster kit. (A lifelong dream)
The deposit is in. I have the sales order now.
I'm slowly getting my paperwork together.
Does anyone have the most current TC form on file?
I found a copy online, but I'm unsure if it's current: 184871
Thanks,
-Morgan

Steve,
Is there still a guy out your way providing the completion kits?
Morgan was asking me & I wasn't sure.

If you mean Al Beix at Western Canada Cobra's, he is no longer in the business.
I built a base kit, and was able to find 90+% of what I needed locally. Lordco was great at rounding much of it up. Some items like the Koni Coil overs, I had no choice but to get them from the US.

Kit made it home yesterday. No problems at the border. Just needed to pay the tax man.
The project begins...

Excellent! was the same for me, didn't even ask to see the TC approval just see the cashier inside! Let me know if you need an extra set of hands... I also have an engine stand and cherry picker in the corner of the garage unused....
Cheers

Which border crossing did you use? I figure it would be best to use one that is used to having kits come across the border and know somewhat what they are doing.

Pacific Highway "truck" crossing.

If your in Ontario, use the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. I have been through twice and they havent even checked the trailer! Seems like they all know what they are doing when you head in to pay your tax.

I used the Coutts crossing in Alberta. I had the kit shipped via Stewart to Sweetgrass, Montana and met the truck there. Painless crossing at the border, Just pay the Tax and go, not even a look in my trailer.

Depends on the person you get in front of you.
When I crossed the border the guy in front of me started looking at all the papers I had with me.
Then another one came up, looked at me and asked: « Car parts? » I said « Yes ». He told the first guy to have me pay taxes and let me go.
So the magic words are: Car parts.
Just my 2 cents.

I have license plates!!
458 days after importing the kit, we are registered and road legal in BC.
I'll put some tips and tricks in the ICBC thread.
