Foot box expanding foam

Need help on how to install the foam on the outside of the foot boxes that seals the body. The foam has an odd profile. Is there a proper way to install it. The only instructions in the manual is to run a small section up the outside of the foot box just forward of the door hinge

I purchased 4" thick closed cell (approx 2' x 3', and had lots extra), Fire Resistant foam and cut it (size, shape, and thickness) to fit. It can be installed from under the hood after the body is on.
ALSO: Don't use pool noodles. If they catch fire, that fire will travel into the cockpit and you.

Yes! The proper way is to install the whole package that FFR supplies into the nearest trash can then run down to your local Lowes, Home Depot or hardware store and pick up a package of 2 1/4" window air conditioner insulating foam and a can of spray contact cement.

I apply it to the footbox sides as shown before installing the bodies. Unlike pool noodles when it's compressed and then springs back it doesn't apply enough pressure to affect the body shape.
