So when I set the windshield per the specs of the manual (and from what I see as recommendations here), my eye is basically at the level of the winshield trim. Is that ok?

The pic is not striaght on but it's the only one I have. As a side note, the roll bar is about the best height for my height (6'). I think they look better lower but I think roll bar functionality is preferred over looks.

For me, the answer would be no; I don't want to be scrunched down all the time when I should be enjoying the drive. Unless you're going to put a top on your car, I recommend you cheat the windshield a little more upright. If that doesn't eliminate your concern, then I'd investigate different seats.

Hey capt. What seat you running? Adjustable or fixed?

Classic style roadster seats on sliders by chance? If so that's not surprising, especially if a lot of your height is in the torso.

No sliders, standard FFR seat.

I had the same issue, I put the seat flat on the floor still was looking at the upper trim. I use the sun visors flipped up to get the extra little bit of flying rock protection for my forehead. Best photo I have.

Try shimming the front of the seat up 3/4" - 1", similar to how the Breeze seat bases are. That little bit of backward tilt to the seat helps bring the head down a little bit.

An upholstery shop may be able to remove some cushioning from the seat bottom. I had the same issue on my 818, so decided to go with Tillett seats without padding. Also, reclined the seat as mentioned above. I hope I can cope with these seats with my bad back but they feel comfortable when static. Tbd.

I tilted my seats back to give a more reclined seating position. Got me at a comfortable height.

Changing to Kirkey's on the floor will drop you another 2 inches at least.

Making your seats low to the floor is a good step. There’s also some adjustment in windshield itself. I’m 6’5” and I look through the windshield. I converted my kirkey intermediates to low backs, and I think they sit me lower in the car than the Kirky vintage seats.

I am 6'1 and I look through the windshield, I have the FFR leather low backs with the breeze base on them. What seat are you running? I also agree with you on the roll bar, FFR paper clips are perfect for me, the Breeze bar would do nothing for me for roll over protection. My head would actually be protecting the Breeze bar

Hey Captain,

It sounds like you are long in the torso as Jeff K. stated so I think Kirkey Low Backs or Kirkey Drag Seats might help.
I've got the F-5 Big & Tall seats on Breeze Mounts and I'm fine; however, I'm only 5'10" with a 32" inseam.
Do you have the standard Factory Five Seats because they have a bit thicker padding in the seat area?
