Hey, I'm in the slow process of putting back together my Mk3.1... until now no big issues, but I had faced the first one. I was putting together the rear suspension (is a 4 link suspension) and looking at the assembly manual I follow the torque spec indicated there. The lower control arm, chasis side, indicated something around 100lbft. The thing is the bolt stripped before reaching that torque, and also the rubber in the lower control arm was being squeezed as I was thightening the bolt.
What's the correct torque spec if any? I see that it has a locking nut, so I was wondering if no torque at all is required.
I watched the FFR videos (that I think are for the MK4) and they donīt specify any torque for the rear suspension.
I tried searching in the forum and didnīt find anything, sorry if my search skills are not the best!
