I pretty much have the dash complete, sans the glovebox door
I'm curious what you folks have modified - the dash holes? or did you elongate the holes in the mounting bar for the glovebox door?

either they modified the hinge or the dash, but there's no way that hinge bar is aligning with the holes in the dash, the forward facing mount hits the dash and the holes don't align at all...
yes, customizing again, but you'd think for a $500 part it would fit together as instructed

I definitely remember this being a pain in the *** to assemble. I think I elongated the holes in the metal bracket, as I didn't want anything showing inside the glove box if I screw up. Turned out fine.

finally getting back to it today, got the lid/plate and mount epoxied - now the brace bar won't align with the passenger side mount now
the rounded edge of the CF dash seems to get in the way of the mount bar placement

I wish I would have elongated them..... Now I have an extra hole on the bottom there. But I still love this dash!!

Maybe I'm not seeing your pic correct, but it looks like you have the hinge backing bracket mounted to the inside of the glove box? It should be on the outside (i.e. not visible when you open the glove box). Maybe that is the issue?
Here are some pics I took of mine. You can see I had to mount the backing bracket at the very bottom of the slot - that's the only way the pivot would clear the backside of the dash. I think I also had to file off a little bit of the pivot radius so it would seat flush, but it's hard to tell from my pictures. It wasn't much that I took off. I also put the washer between the backing bracket and the plastic glovebox body (on the outside) - that spaces it out properly and puts the pivot hole where it needs to be. Hope these pics help:

After re-looking at your pics, it is clear we have different hinge geometry. Yours appear to be significantly thicker material, and also have a different shape around the pivot. That is the area that I trimmed on mine, but still looks very different from yours.

ok this definitely helps, the 3D schematic is a bit misleading, you definitely have different geometry on the hinge
Thanks for sharing I'll try moving the brace to the outside of the glovebox!
I may have to modify my grab bar handle brace a bit more, but just want this done :)
