I originally had my FPR vacuum port attached to engine vacuum, but I removed it
184831

several folks on here have stated that LUND said it wasn't needed, but wasn't sure if this was applicable across all Coyote generations

my debacle currently: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?45742-Coyote-Gen3-rough-idle-at-start-then-smooth/page2

Instructions for Aeromotive FPR say the vacuum connection is only required if you have boost, otherwise open to atmosphere. They even have a little filter you can, and I did, buy to make sure gunk doesn't get in there.

Thanks Alan_C - yes I see the instructions, the FFR Gen3 directions show hooking up the vacuum port as well

curious if everyone has it connected? or disconnected (vented thru filter)?

For both Gen 2 and Gen 3 Coyotes I've had, with Lund tunes, I followed their instructions to remove the vacuum line and vent the regulator to atmosphere. Even used the little filter Al_C referenced. As he correctly stated, it only comes into play on boosted applications. For grins, I tried my Gen 2 Coyote powered Roadster with it off and on. Couldn't tell the difference. So my impression is the difference is maybe pretty subtle. But still following Lund's instructions and haven't touched the one on the Coupe. It's open. Obviously different than both the Ford Performance and Factory Five instructions show. I wouldn't overthink it. Leave it off.

ok - I did a test tonight with it back on and no difference, will probably vent to air again

hoping Ford gets some ideas tomorrow
