In my introduction post I stated I was on the fence between buying/building. I fell on the building side. Ordered 5/16/23 expected completion 9/9/23. I’m very much looking forward to meeting and interacting with many of you here! I have a freshly built mildly cammed 351 long block and as I’m considering my options for completion with front drive/trans and associated supporting elements… its becoming apparent that the Blueprint folks are really competitive price wise with what I’m able to do on my own. I’ve got 6k in the motor now and if I wanted to do a 306 complete with TKX from them I think I’d actually come out ahead. I’m also considering throwing caution to the wind and going for it with the 427. Either way.. has anyone ordered from them VERY recently and could tell me what the current lead time is? The warranty combined with the fact that it is a very real possibility that I could goof something putting all of it together myself makes the blueprint option that much more alluring.

A well build 306 with a good rear gear ratio will likely surprise you.
I'm a little over powered and my car is a handful.

Blueprint does a fine job as read about many times here. But, since you already built a 351 short block, I'd look around at head/intake packages from all the major names like Edelbrock and Trick Flow. Also I bet Blueprint would be glad to supply you w/ all that you need as would Mike Forte.

I have actually been chatting it up with Mike Forte for a few days now and I believe he may end up being my go to. I called BluePrint today and they are down to 5-6 months on Ford buildouts and somehow longer 10-12 months on LS builds.. not sure how that happens, usually the grass is always greener on the LS side of the fence!
