Hello all,

I`m experiencing something really odd with my build.

First to the setup
Coyote Gen3
FF5 Exhaust with no Cats
Direct Fuel injection deleted.
60 Lb/Hr Fuel Injectors
Fuel Tech engine management, << several components are not quite "original" to the Gen3
Using 93 Octane gas

It starts ok and functions perfectly until heats up, but twice, when in normal running temp (right when the thermostat valve opens) the O2 sensors show very poor mixture and a very strong smell that hits you (so badly that you need to exit the garage) and the engine starts to rev down until it dies.

Now the big question:

Does anyone have the slightest idea what the heck is going on???

Has it been tuned?
Sounds like going from closed loop to open loop, tune is too rich.

I asked a builder I know who said:
"Sounds like it’s his tune
At a certain temp it starts dumping fuel"

If you arent sure how to tune the Fuel Tech you are going to need to be asking your tuner or the Fuel Tech boards what is going on. It sounds like your tune has a parameter related to either post startup fuel correction or just plain coolant temp corrected fueling that is set wrong, but someone who knows Fuel Tech is going to be the source you are looking for. There are likely 0 or very nearly 0 people on here who know Fuel Tech on gen3 coyotes
