I think I have the tank in a good spot with regards to the upper radiator and hood hinge connection, but looking for a sanity check. Can someone measure from the PS of the tank outboard to the 3/4 tube that runs along the hood opening and rattle off a distance? I want to make sure I don't run into an interference that I haven't thought of yet...

Seems a long time & no responses so will just put this in.

Can't picture where you are putting the tank from the description. Pictures always help. Will just show where mine is with no interference from any structure. Believe this is the common location for both styles of MOROSO/Coyote tanks.

Also works well with the required hose connections especially the upper left that goes into the upper port on the radiator. This is a specific FORD hose with a directional non return valve.

Just about dead center along the square chassis tube.

There are basically two areas of potential interference. The first, and most obvious is the PS hood hinge. The less obvious one if you haven't assembled your air intake yet is the intake elbow. My recommendation is to assemble the PS hood hinge, temporarily installing it extended to its full range of extension, and then install the coolant expansion tank about an inch away from the hinge. This should give you plenty of clearance for the intake elbow.

Depends on which coolant reservoir you use. Look at some of the ie427 Garage videos. Frank has a recent one that show the coolant system and said about 5 inches inwards.

I can't tell you for sure. I was hoping to put mine in today, but got stuck going to work on the weekend and babysitting the kids. But am doing what JohnK said. I have the hood hinges and air intake in temporarily, mount made, and now just have to align and drill the holes.
