View Full Version : Powder coat the suspension parts?
Has anyone gone to the trouble of re-powdercoating the control arms, etc.? Seems like overkill and a waste, but the finish from FFR is not great. I've got some flaking on the front LCA and it's not even installed yet. Maybe I'll just touch it up and call it a day.
I have over 5k miles on my car now and all my suspension parts have not had any issues with peeling or chipping (IRS rear). Personally I would not spend the money on PC.

Stripping the powder coat off of the parts that come painted in the kit (to change their color) is tough work.
And that's all I have to say about that, LOL.

I didn't powder coat but I did paint with POR15. A little bling that sets the car off from others and gives added protection.

I've been wondering how to keep my jack stands stable on the wheel dollies I have and noticed what you did using turnbuckles.
Great idea!

Who needs a frame dolly! I never would of thought that would be stable. Now I wish I didn't waist all that effort to make my frame dolly. Great idea!

My coupe tips the scales at 2600 pounds and I can still push it around the garage on these jack stands without a feeling of them being unstable.
