I got the new vinyl dash with glove box along with the Russ Thompson turn signal. With the dash at the highest point I think will fit, there is still some of the opening for the steering showing at the bottom. I don't know if I can push the dash any higher and still fit under the cowl. Has anyone else used the vinyl dash and had this issue? I don't want the hole opening below the steering column to show. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Put the left big gauge in and put the box on the back of the glove box opening. Install the dash and push it all the way up until both touch the bottom of the 3/4 tube. Thats as high as it can go.
also at this point, i drill a hole from the top down at the point the glove box hits the tube. I then secure the dash with a screw from inside the glove box into the bottom of the 3/4 tube. I let the RT turn signal hold the other end up. No visible screws on the face.

Thanks Mike, I will try that but I am worried the dash will be so high it will interfere with the body. The silver lines on the hoop are where the cowl comes down to with the body on with bulb seal in place.

that's ok. You can always trim the top. Also, the silver line is the minimum. You can go up almost an ich beyond that and not hit the bottom side of the body.
