This is the fourth time we've had the truck out since it was legal. Has just over 200 miles and mostly getting used to it. Like it but won't replace the Coupe any time soon. The Vintage Air A/C system is overpowering in the small cab. I like it but my better half definitely doesn't. Good thing the controls are on her side. I thought it seemed "darty" at first. Checked the alignment and it's spot on. Decided it's mostly the optional kit supplied electric power steering which is (my opinion) probably overboosted, doesn't have much feel, and not adjustable. I'm getting used to it. Managed to find a few of the poorest roads in the county today. It does ride reasonably well. 5% chance of precip today turned into 100% on the way home. Nothing major and just barely got the streets wet. Found out the wipers work OK. Lots of honks and thumbs-up as we're driving around. Having fun but the Coupe is up for the next event.

Well Paul, there's always one guy in the crowd that has to be more prepared for rain than all the others. The truck looks beautiful. We will see you in the coupe at the cruise on the 27th.

I wonder if it is possible to take some of the assist out of steering by cutting down on the voltage going into the the steering assist unit you mention.

The system has an electronic controller mounted behind the dash in my case. I doubt very much that varying the input voltage would change how it's delivering the power assist. I'm not going to mess with it. It's mostly me getting used to it. Having said that, I've heard from others that they've also found some electric boost systems similar to what I've observed with mine, e.g. reduced road feedback, overboosted, etc. Some units have an adjustment knob for the amount of boost, no doubt tied to the controller and how it's applying the power from the electric motor. This system from Factory Five as part of the kit doesn't have that. Maybe it would help if it did. But I don't know. This is my first time with a system of this type and with only 200 miles on the truck, not going to draw too many conclusions. Just a first impression kind of thing. I commented to my wife on the way home yesterday that I was getting more and more used to the truck and more confident in how it drives and handles. Just like any new car.

Suggestion: check for wheel lash; had some handling issues early on, discovered the rubber bushing on the (passenger side) steering rack had dislodged allowing lash (slop) between front wheels; made a brass bushing replacement, happy with the results.

Congratulations on a beautiful build
