Spot on man, spot on.

There are so many aspects of what you are saying that I could comment on but I don't want to take anything away from your message, so we'll just leave it at that:)

Preach it Brother! Oh the stories I could tell you about the calls and messages I get...wait, nevermind, I already have told you lots of them ;)

And Amen and Hallelujah for the words beginning at the 39 minute mark.

If I can I will add to the history of the manuals from my experiences. Prior to ordering my Mkll kit in late 2003 I purchased a manual dated 10/97 and it is 97 pages, this is a Mkl manual. When I ordered my kit a Mkll manual with 169 pages arrived and then with the kit another manual came and it is 207 pages. When I got my Gen 3 Coupe in March 2017 it came with a Gen 2 manual, my car is one of the first customer cars #16 but very soon after the kit arrived I got a Gen 3 manual and over time as the manual was updated I got electronic updates. the Gen 3 manual I have is about 550 pages (Oct 2017) plus the wiring book and the on-line information form FFR.
I can second the comments in the video, read the manual, there is lots of good info in it that will make the assembly easier.

Completely understand. We each have our own experience with the manual.

Actually I totally agree with you.

It's just that I have too much respect for what you've already said (and said very well IMO) rather than "piling on" with my own thoughts which would've only been echoes.

We all have "those stories" and even you and I know, the assembly manual isn't perfect. It's all in there, but not always in the spot you would think. My own experience recently with the headlight connectors and wiring comes to mind.................... but I found it. Stick with it guys, it's in there.

I think sometimes the guys building the cars are typically (including me) testosterone fueled and we all believe we can do it without spending time going through the instructions. I know a guy who makes a very good living completing Ikea furniture because people don't read the instructions. My first build was a MarkI back in 1998 and I couldn't believe the extent of info in the manual as the prior kit car I built was from Fiberfab and consisted of 3 pages, 2 of which related to the door latches. The manual has grown and improved over the years and contains a wealth of information. I'm curious about other cobra replica kits and what they may provide. I doubt anyone provides the depth of information FFR provides.
