Gorgeous photograph! I used to have an apartment on the Big Island. Miss it. That photo is both gorgeous and also sad how much light pollution there is. My other hobby is astronomy and finding places that aren't overly light polluted is become very difficult.

Beautiful photo. Memories of my second home. I was stationed there for a while and met my wife there. She still has folks in the Kailua area near the beach. Hard to tell from the photo if you were moving left to right or right to left with the waves. Diamond-head on the left corner. If you kept going right in the photo away from Honolulu, you eventually end up with the lighthouse or Hanama Bay. Further from that Kailua and Marines base in K-Bay. We try to go back as often as we can to visit her folks. We are definitely considering this as our retirement destination. Nice vacation spot. I sure did miss driving state to state while living there.

We were heading south (left to right). We love the Kaneohe Bay area on Oahu. We've kayaked to a great snorkel area about a quarter mile off shore.
