Well hello there Ian, greetings from (New) Jersey, USA. I always try to make a point of saying hello to you Brits, as I have spent a great deal of time on your side of the pond working, from London to Croydon to Glasgow to Edinburgh to Bristol and a ton of other places.
Is that picture real, did you really build a right hand drive Roadster? I always enjoyed the right hand drive a lot, still do. If I ever get a vintage racecar (say an old Spitfire or somesuch) it will be rhd.

Hi Ian,
You Brits have really messed it up for the rest of us (just kidding). I was in the Cayman Islands and rented a right hand steering car. It was very nerve racking at first. I kept repeating the montra the rental car guy gave me, " Left is right and right you're dead."
Send us some pics of your right hander, OK. See you later. WEK.

Glad to see that you made it over to the "Factory" forum Ian. I think it would be great if you created a thread over here documenting your RH drive conversion. I remember following your posts on the other forum on your conversion and they were fascinating.
Welcome aboard.

Thank you for your kind words and - yes, it really is right hand drive and not Photshop! A friend of mine also converted a Coupe, which you can see in one of the pictures. In the New Year when I hope to have a bit more time, I will start a new thread and add some build pictures, so you can see what I did and how I did it!!

Right hand steering wheel is like metric - Americans will never get used to it

From Alan;
Right hand steering wheel is like metric - Americans will never get used to it
I dunno Alan, I had several years back in the '90s when I put more miles on a Peugot 405 in England than I put on my own car here, because of work. I got very accustomed to the RHD, and in fact at one point it felt weird to get back into a LHD car!
AJ
PS I really, really loved that Peugot. There is a roundabout (rotary to us Yanks) just outside Dumphries in Scotland that can be taken at 62 mph but not 63 mph. Don't ask me how I know that...
