First time sharing like this outside of my normal build thread, but though this might be of interest to the FFR community.
My employer (JR Automation) is hosting our second annual car show this year. This show is 100% to raise money for local charities. The charities are selected by our employees in the Fall of every year. Around Christmas time the company matches any funds raised from all events over the course of the year and distributes to the selected organizations helping those in need.
Last year we held out first ever car show for internal JR employees and had moderate success. Roughly 40 vehicles participated and we raised a couple thousand dollars.
This year we are expanding and opening the show up to the public in an effort have more impact in the local community (and see more cool cars). Our show area is expanded to accommodate 120 vehicles with everyone getting a double wide parking space. Show categories are classics, imports, muscle cars, trucks/SUVs, supercars, and even a "work in progress" category.
As with last year, spectators will get to vote on their favorite vehicles in each category... as well as top 3 best in show. The awards themselves are very nice. Kaleb and walked away with 3rd best in show last year for our MK4 even though we had no engine at that point and participated in the WIP category. Was a fun day for talking cars with likeminded people. :)
If you are in the area and would like to bring your Daytona, MK4, GTM, 38, etc... for some music, food, and car talk comradery. We would love to have you come come out.
Show Vehicle Application:
184074
FYI... after the show itself we will be doing a short, post show scenic cruise (for those who want to participate) to our local state park and back towards the north side of the city of Holland. Its a beautiful area and should be a nice little drive. We will be turning around before entering the part so a park pass will NOT be needed.
Would love to have you join us in representing the FFR community. Build well and drive safe!
